Comprehensive Community Planning

In 2007 the Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw Nations received funding from Indian & Northern Affairs Canada's First Nations Infrastructure Fund (FNIF) to do Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP).
Staff were hired in 2008, and between May of 2008 to May of 2010 many community meetings, questionnaires, and other planning activities were held to discuss our vision and plans for the future of our community.

The result of these two years of hard work is the draft Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw Comprehensive Community Plan (GNCCP). Please click here for a summary of the GNCCP.
If you are a Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw community member (on or off reserve) and you would like a full copy of the draft please e-mail Jessie Hemphill
